 Merry Christmas Eve Art Blog Friends!

Jesus’ birthday celebration is almost here!!! This is such a wonderful and exciting season - a time to celebrate the promise and hope that God gave us with the birth of one tiny baby. A baby that would one day grow up to save us all! It is a time to redirect our focus and priorities away from the things of this world and reprioritize our attention to the things that are truly important. A time to give cheerfully; to share love, hope, and joy. Our Savior has come! God is with us! 

The closer we get to Christmas, the more tempting it can be to get lost in the hustle and bustle of shopping and preparing, striving and questing. It’s easy to let stress creep in and lose our focus. Christmas is important, our family members are important, and we want things to go well - dare I say, even perfect. We try to find “perfect” - the perfect gift, the perfect outfit, the perfect meal, make the perfect cookies. But we’re NOT perfect, and God knows that. That’s the whole point of the season! God sent us His perfect son, Jesus, to be Emmanuel (“God with us”). We needed a Savior because we are most definitely imperfect …and He loves us anyway. I’m reminding myself of this as much as you by the way :). I invite you to join me, dear friend, let’s let go of all the things and thoughts that are keeping us from truly celebrating Jesus. Let’s celebrate God’s love with our actions and our words; let’s lift up joyful songs to God, and feast, and hug, and spend real quality time with the people we love. Let’s let everybody know with our words and deeds that “God is with us! Our Savior is here! And God loves you!”
